2nd Grade Assistant Michele says, "I wanted to influence children and help them understand the significance of a good education. While I worked as a substitute teacher at Yellowstone, I always experienced the love of God on the campus. This is a wonderful opportunity to help children and have God’s love as part of my experience."

Meet Tremesia Sanders
3rd Grade Assistant Tremesia says, "I love working with children and I believe that I will learn even more to enhance my career. I believe that I will grow professionally and I love the students at Yellowstone. I will have the opportunity to show them that I love and care for them.

Fifth Grade Teacher Kimberly Peterson says, "I have chosen the field of education because I love children, I love to learn, and because being a teacher is simply who I am and just what I do. I hope that at Yellowstone I can be an extension of God’s love and do the work that needs to be done to empower His people."
Meet Bronson Beauchamp
Physical Education Teacher Bronson teaches PreK - 7th grade P.E. and middle school health. He is a graduate of Prairie View A&M and a former Young Life staffer in West Houston. "There are three things I'm passionate about," he says. "Jesus Christ, kids, and sports. Yellowstone allows me to pursue them all!"

Meet Princess Benson
Assistant Office Manager Princess counts it a privilege to serve Yellowstone Academy. "I enjoy making a difference in a child's life and I can enable them to be productive and successful adults in the future," she says.

Meet Kara Babcock
PreK-4 Teacher Kara loves learning and is honored to make a difference in her students' lives. "Teaching young children to read, learn about science, and enjoy school are my favorite things in this career I have chosen," she says. "I hope I am still learning new things when I am 80."


Meet Natasha Ford
Natasha Ford is the lead PreK-3 teacher sharing a classroom with Kortnie Powe. Natasha graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2001 with a degree in psychology and a sociology minor. She has worked as an associate teacher for HISD and as a GED/ESL instructor for Houston Community College and volunteered in public school classrooms for several years. Natasha is in her fifth year of teaching at Yellowstone and has "enjoyed each year more and more."


Meet Kortnie Powe
Kortnie Powe is a PreK-3 aid in the classroom with Natasha Ford. Kortnie is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree and is in her third year at Yellowstone Academy. She says she enjoys working at Yellowstone "because it provides me an opportunity to give back to the community in which I was raised."

Meet Melissa Matteson
Melissa Matteson is a Kindergarten teacher in the classroom with aide Mallory Rigney. Melissa graduated from the University of Texas in 2009 with a degree in education and a business minor. Her job search took her to many places, but she says she "kept coming back to Yellowstone." Melissa appreciates the camaraderie of the Yellowstone faculty and looks forward to many years of teaching to come.


Meet Donna Fussell
Donna Fussell is a PreK-3 aide in the classroom with Allison Frazier. Donna has been teaching at Yellowstone since its inception and has a son who attended Yellowstone Academy in PreK-3 and 4. Donna and her husband attend Mt. Corinth Missionary Baptist Church.
Meet Katie Tewart
Katie Tewart teaches mathematics to the middle school. This is her third year at Yellowstone Academy. She was a high school Geometry teacher in Katy ISD for three years prior to coming to Yellowstone. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Religion from the University of Southern Mississippi where she played on the varsity soccer team. She and her husband live in Katy, Texas, where they attend Grace Community Church.
